A special event is any organized gathering for any purpose for a limited period of time at which any two or more of the following apply.
- The expenditure of our resources is contemplated or is deemed necessary by town personnel to maintain public health, safety and welfare.
- Your event requires the use of our facility or property.
- Your event is expected to have a visual, noise or other environmental impact upon the immediate vicinity or surrounding area of your event.
Within the Special Events Ordinance, a number of requirements are outlined including, but not limited to,
- submitting an application
- scheduling an event and budget review meeting with us
- executing an indemnification
- providing proof of liability insurance
- paying a permit fee
